I dont know about anyone else but i have had the same problems with collagen casing that say they are for smoking. I was hoping to get a snack stick tube. I use the ones for fresh sausage in the smoker with no problems. Again, this will be my first attempt. The sausage comes right out.

I would not go with the 17mm. The cellulose will stretch , so the end size depends on how tight you stuff them. 21mm are hot dog casing size. Just enough pressure to fill the casing. Also you could try a sheep casing.

From what i have read you are supposed to slide the casings over the tube then tie the end off and start filling but most of the snack stick kits i have found come with 19mm casings and the charts i have found that correlate tube size to casing size.

I was thinking i would like to do 16mm casings. I was hoping to get a snack stick tube. I would not go with the 17mm. Also the 17mm casings are a pain to get on even the 3/8 stainless tubes.
