I've found that using the grit progression from brown through grey on the sb belts still doesn't take off enough material to leave a good finish in the lower grits. I'd equate it to a fairly clean ~600 grit look. It made it look like a much more expensive knife. Finish up with the scotch brite leaving a nice satin.
